Andreas Konstantinou (born in Cyprus, 1993) is an architect and a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Cyprus. He graduated from the University of Cyprus in 2018 and has gained professional experience at XZA Architects in Athens, J+A Philippou Architects in Nicosia, and currently works at CYFIELD Group. As a freelancer, he has actively participated in architectural competitions, earning 1st prize in the Sports Hall at Pangkiprio Gymnasium (2023) and 2nd prize in the competition for the Municipal “Park of Colours” in Paphos (2020). Moreover, his practical experience extends to working extensively on masterplans, apartment buildings, office buildings, and houses.
His academic interests primarily focus on the significance of cultural buildings in urban life and the urban fabric. Specifically, his research centers on the synergy between interior and exterior public spaces at local and global scale. Additionally, it explores their relationship with the broader urban fabric, aiming to enhance public life, foster user interaction, and contribute to a sense of community.
